Luna
December two years ago, our daughter wanted to adopt a kitten and asked us to go with her to an animal shelter here in the San Diego area. It was just around Christmas time and we had to wait hours in a long line of folks also looking to adopt a pet. We finally came across Luna. She was skinny, small, and a bit scared. Later we found that she had been used as a target for criminals to practice with bb guns. She has 5 projectiles in her body that cannot be removed, one dangerously close to her spinal chord. Fast forward, she is now a sweet cute fluffy ball of fur and charm.
